In 2022, Ashtrom Construction, through its subsidiary Drachim, completed the construction of a public transport lane along Highway 4 between Morasha and Ra`anana Interchanges. The lane was laid for Netivei Israel (National Roads Company of Israel), joining a long list of highways and main traffic arteries the Company has been constructing for decades.

Dedicated Public Transport Lane Along Highway 4
As part of the project, the section of Highway 4 between Morasha and Ra`anana Intersections, was widened - approx. 2.5 km. northbound and 1.3 km. southbound.
The works included the treatment of ramps connecting to Route 4 both north and south, restoration of the existing road structure, concrete works, construction of drainage canals, retaining walls, and foundation piles. Additionally, it included the extension of an existing water conduit, excavation and filling, and the installation of infrastructure for electrical systems, lighting, and communication networks. In the final phase, new paving works were carried out alongside landscape development, signage, road marking, and the implementation of final traffic arrangements.
The field work teams faced significant challenges, particularly due to the narrow work zones in which the road restoration and widening efforts were conducted. Despite these constraints, they managed to maintain active travel routes throughout the entire execution period, ensuring minimal disruption to traffic while completing the complex tasks.
