Urban Renewal In a City Environment

The Recanati Complex in Tel Aviv is a unique urban renewal project featuring three 16-story residential blocks with 66 units and a 3-level parking structure, totaling approximately 15,000 sq.m. of space. Integrated landscaping blends seamlessly with surrounding green areas, including sections atop the parking roof.

Located in a dense urban area near residential neighborhoods and schools, the project faced engineering challenges due to limited staging space, restricted truck access hours, and noise minimization requirements. Construction involved around 42,000 sq.m. of partition, 35,000 cu.m. of concrete, and 4,400 tonnes of steel.

During the frame construction phase, an external clean-up contractor facilitated the quick removal of molds from the site. Lift shafts were closed with prefabricated elements, and self-climbing core and ratchet molds were used to reduce working areas. A compactor shaft was also cast on-site. After completing the frame construction, work in public areas accelerated, with advanced waterproofing and development operations carried out in parallel.
