Underground Works for an Advanced Mixed-Use Project

LYFE in Bat Yam is a groundbreaking mixed-use project currently under construction on a 12-dunam site in the southern part of the city, just a short distance from the seafront. Developed by Ashtrom Properties in partnership with Dan Real Estate, the innovative complex will include two residential towers comprising 228 apartments, with a total residential area of over 21,000 sqm.

In addition, the project will feature an office tower spanning 40,000 sqm, as well as a street-level retail floor with shops, cafés, and restaurants.

The complex underground infrastructure works were carried out across a vast area, forming the foundation of the development’s parking facilities, including the excavation of approximately 190,000 cubic meters of soil.

Base Pile executed 4,700 cubic meters of slurry wall shoring, enabling effective waterproofing of the parking levels and significantly reducing the volume of groundwater required to be pumped during construction. In addition, 490 temporary ground anchors were installed to facilitate deep excavation works, and approximately 5,000 tons of contaminated soil were excavated and removed from the site.
