Construction of One of the Longest Suspension Bridges in Israel

The HaAri Bridge, also known as the Unity Bridge, crosses over Highway 2 (the Coastal Highway) and a railway line,  linking the eastern and western parts of the city of Netanya. The column bridge, inaugurated in September 2002, was on its opening considered the longest suspension bridge in the country - some 800 metres - and since then has considerably improved traffic flow in the area.

At the Company’s Ashdod plant, Ashcrete produced a variety of industrialised concrete beams of various cross-sections as set out in the bridge design. The bridge construction process, including the assembly of the industrialised elements in the field, was complicated both by the bridge’s length and the continuation of uninterrupted vehicle traffic close to the site.
