Beam Bridge at Fast-Moving Traffic Interchange

In late 1998, Ashtrom Construction secured a contract from the National Roads Company to build Bridge 7 over the railway at Ashdod Interchange. This interchange comprises three sections, with the north-western part where Highway 4 passes over Highway 7, connecting to Highway 41. The bridge spans approximately 160 meters in length and 50 meters in width.

Bridge 7 is a complex beam bridge with wide spans and a distinctive column layout, constructed using conventional methods involving foundation excavation, mold setup, and concrete casting. Industrialized beams and columns were produced at the Ashcrete Ashdod plant and transported to the site for assembly using specialized cranes.
